This workshop gave me a lot of inspiration and new ideas. We projected different lights onto paper and created many unique pieces in a relaxed atmosphere. I’ve always had a habit of being overly meticulous in my drawing, carefully sketching out every detail from my imagination. However, using light as a creative tool, with its free and effortless nature, has completely changed the way I think and create. Maybe I don’t need to express everything so precisely and instead can embrace more randomness.
With this in mind, for That Day We Ran by the Water, I decided not to make sketches beforehand. Instead, I let my daily perception of the memory guide the process, breaking and reorganizing the same memory in different ways.
