Artist Statement

Influenced by architects in my family, I often observe the existing three-dimensional spaces around me. Unsatisfied with the limitations of the rational world, I create works that center on reshaping the subtle and unforgettable memories of water, inspired by my childhood growing up by the sea. Using drawing and printmaking, I construct spatial structures on various types of paper, building containers to store these memories.

Through these spaces, I attempt to narrate and connect the emotional experiences of memory with the viewer. To me, memory is not only an immersion in the past but also an entry point for questioning and revealing the inherent contradictions of nature. In this rapidly changing rational world, the spaces I create become a sanctuary for emotions, offering the viewer a unique and immersive experience.
